　　根據全國老齡工作委員會(the China National Committee On Aging)的數據來看，到2053年，中國60歲及以上的老人數量預計 會從目前的1.85億一躍變為4.87億，或者說是占總人口的35%。擴 張的比例是由于壽命的增加和計劃生育政策(family planning policies) 限制大部分城市家庭只生一個孩子。快速老齡化對社會和經濟穩定 造成了嚴重威脅。

　　The number of people aged 60 and above in China is expected to jump from the current 185 million to 487 million, or 35 percent of the population, by 2053，according to figures from the China National Committee On Aging. The expanding ratio is due both an increase in life expectancy and by family planning policies that limit most urban families to a single child. Rapid aging poses serious threats to the country’s social and economic stability.
