　　名詞辨析是一種比較簡單的辨析題，一般只會考察單詞本身微妙的差別，這方面需要學生注意每個名詞的英文解釋，因為有時候，翻譯成中文時，幾個詞的都是同義詞，但是內在卻差別很大。如：

　　lodging， shelter ，dwelling ，house

　　“lodging”寄宿處，出租的房間、住房。a number of 若干

　　above all 首要，尤其

　　be absorbed in 專心于

　　by accident 偶然

　　account for 說明

　　on account of 因為，由于

　　take…into account 考慮

　　be accustomed to 習慣于

　　add up to 合計，總計

　　in addition 另外

　　in the air 在流行中，在傳播中

　　“shelter”(庇護所，收容所)，指的是為“無家可歸的人提供暫時棲息場所”。

　　dwelling”(居住地，住所)。

　　“house”(房屋住宅)。

　　life ，existence ，survival ，maintenance

　　“life”一般表示“生命、生活”。

　　“existence”強調是“我們活著或者存在的這樣一個事實或者方式”，比如“貧窮的生活”(a meager existence)等等。

　　“survival”強調的是“存活，繼續活下來”，或者“從困境中活過來或挺過來”的意思。

　　“maintenance”大多表示“某種狀態的保持”，或者“機器的維護”以及“維持或謀生的需品”。
