2.邀請信一般分為正式和非正式兩種。熟悉的朋友之間可采用非正式的形式，即正文用第一人稱寫，稱呼也可以隨便一些。寫邀請信時要做到語言樸實，態度熱情，要說明邀請的原因、活動地點和時間。用詞要清晰明了;信函內容應簡短，不要使用太多描繪性語言。如果要求被邀請者答復，則要在信上注明“RSVP” (“請答復” )或“Please reply”。被邀請人在收到信后應立即答復。

　　如果接受，應先表示感謝和被邀請的喜悅心情，而且需要重復寫明出席的時間和地點。如果謝絕，除了表示謝意之外，還需要表達失望或遺憾之感，然后具體說明不能履約的原因。邀請信及其回復的常用句型：

　　③I’d be very pleased ( happy, delighted ) to accept ( come to ) ...

　　3.祝賀信是表示慶祝的書信。在西方風俗習慣中，遇到重大的節假日，比如新年、圣誕節、生日等以及親朋好友之間遇到了什么喜事都應寫信致以問候或贈送禮品。賀信的寫作要注意主題明確，中心突出，情感真摯但切記不要言過其實，評價要恰當，要表現出真誠的喜悅和祝賀。另外，代表單位的賀信應較為正式，措詞要嚴謹、謙恭。祝賀信常用語：
