　　The chart shows the result of an investigation on the question whether you have ever thought to take actions to save food. As can be seen from the data, 27 percent people have never had any idea about this issue, while near 50 percent people only have awareness, but never have they taken any actions. Sadly, those having awareness of saving food and also taking measures to do this only accounts for 25%.

　　This phenomenon can easily be found anywhere in our daily life, not only in food issue, but also in electricity and energy. Many people are used to doing everything with the television on, not actually watching it at all. Such a habit can cause waste of much electricity and energy, and result in the emission of carbon. This deviates from the popular concept of "low carbon life"-to reduce the emission of carbon, especially carbon dioxide, to protect our environment and realize sustainable development. According to statistics, if we can decrease the time for having the television on by one hour each day, we can deduce the amount of carbon emission by 4.71 kilogram each month.

　　To serve as responsible stewards of the planet, we must promote and popularize a low carbon life among the public from every detail in our daily life. We must change the past practice of sacrificing long-term environmental health for short-term rapid economic development, and shift to developing green economy, circular economy and low carbon economy. All these effective measures can help us to reach harmony between development of the society and health of the nature.

　　The chart above shows the change of ways of shopping from 2000 to 2010. As can be seen from the above chart, from 2000 to 2010, the rate of online shopping kept on increasing, from 31.6% to 52.3%, while the traditional shopping fell dramatically from 75.3% to 43.2% occasionally. From then on, both the rate of online shopping and the rate of traditional shopping increased.

　　It is no difficult job for us to come up with some possible factors that underlie the above changes. In the first place, with the development of our economy, people have changed their lifestyles. They did not regard traditional shopping as a good thing. Therefore, the rate of traditional shopping had begun to fall down since 2000. In the second place, with the improvement of both living standards of people and the technique of Internet, people can enjoy shopping online. Thus the rate of traditional shopping had also begun to fall down since 2000 as shown in the chart.

　　From what has been discussed so far, it can be predicted that the present situation will continue for quite a while in the near future. People will have fewer and fewer traditional shopping, and they will enjoy more and more online shopping.

　　The above bar chart shows the results of a report concerning the ideal career standards of most university students. Based on the data offered, steadiness, high salary and comfortable environment are highly acclaimed by students. What is reflected in the chart is most thought-provoking and worth discussing among the general public for the time being.

　　The contributing factors responsible for this phenomenon can be summarized as follows. To begin with, the spirit of challenge is missing among most university students. As is indicated in the chart above, the majority of students regard steadiness as their top ideal career standard. The very fact shows that now most university students lack the confidence and courage to face hardships and difficulties in terms of work. What's more, most students are money-oriented and self-centered. Therefore, high income and comfortable environment are viewed as the most important factors in terms of their standards, which indicates most people lack the spirit of serving the people and rewarding the society. In short, the employment ideal of university students needs to be adjusted.

　　In my view, some necessary measures should be taken to establish new ideal occupation standards among university students. For one thing, a widespread education campaign must be launched to popularize correct employment concepts. For another, a healthy social environment should be created so as to guide the development of students' mind. Only in these ways can university students find their ideal jobs in our harmonious society.
